This study’s goal is to provide a decision support model in order to help a bank selecting the most appropriate city for opening a branch among six alternatives in the South Eastern of Turkey. In the proposed decision support model, because of the fuzziness of the evaluation process, the fuzzy TOPSIS method which allow to make decisions using intervals is applied in its two different algorithms. At the end of the study, according to the evaluations under the considered criteria. Diyarbakır is found out the best candidate city and it’s observed that the ranking orders of candidate cities don’t change in the examined methods.

Bu çalışmada, bankacılık sektöründe yaklaşık on beş senedir faaliyet gösteren bir bankanın, hiç şubesinin bulunmadığı Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgesi’ndeki beş aday şehir arasından en doğru tercih yapabilmesine yönelik bir karar destek modeli önerilmektedir. Geliştirilen karar destek modelinde, çok kriterli karar verme yöntemlerinden, değerlendirme süreçlerinin bulanıklığından dolayı aralıklı karar vermeyi olanaklı kılan bulanık TOPSIS yöntemi, farklı iki biçimiyle uygulanmaktadır. Belirlenen kriterler altında yapılan değerlendirmelere göre, Diyarbakır en iyi aday şehir olarak belirlenmiştir ve aday şehirlerin sıralamasının her iki metotta da değişmediği gözlenmiştir.
