Today, a lot of firms throughout the world are applying Six Sigma Projects in order to reach their targets. It is observed that most of the projects are succesfull howewer some of these are unsuccesfull. Researches about the success of Six Sigma Projects represent the fact that there are many factors which affect the success of the projects. In this respect, researches regarding the determination of the factors importance in different countries are being gotten much importance. In this paper, evaluation of critical success factors of Six Sigma methodology used in Turkey’s manufacturing sector has been aimed. In this respect, the importance level of success factors have been examined from Turkish firms point of view by the interview of the managers of Six Sigma projects. In addition, in which level these factors are carried out in Turkey’s manufacturing sector has been analyzed. Beside the analysis of critical success factors, the relationship between the acquisition of the projects and critical success factors have been investigated.

Günümüzde dünya genelinde pek çok firma, hedeflerine ulaşabilmek amacıyla Altı Sigma projeleri gerçekleştirmektedir. Gerçekleştirilen projelerin bir çoğu başarılı olurken, bazı projelerin ise başarısız olduğu görülmektedir. Altı Sigma projelerinin başarısı konusunda yapılan araştırmalar, projelerin başarısını etkileyen pek çok faktör olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Bu kapsamda farklı ülkeler için bu faktörlerin önem düzeylerinin belirlenmesine dönük araştırmalar büyük önem kazanmıştır. Bu çalışmada Altı Sigma kritik başarı faktörlerinin, Türkiye imalat sektöründe faaliyet gösteren firmalardaki Altı Sigma Projeleri esas alınarak değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda Altı Sigma proje yöneticileri ile görüşülerek başarı faktörlerinin önem dereceleri, Türk Firmaları açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Ayrıca bu faktörlerin Türk İmalat sektöründe gerçekleştirilme düzeyleri incelenmiştir. Kritik Başarı Faktörlerinin analizi dışında, projelerden elde edilen faydalar ile kritik başarı faktörleri arasındaki ilişkiler araştırılmıştır.
